The AM26C31 device is a differential line driver with complementary outputs that meets TIA/EIA-422-B and ITU (formerly CCITT) requirements.The tri-state outputs provide high current for driving balanced lines, such as twisted pair or parallel wire transmission lines, and a high impedance state in the event of power loss.All four drivers have an enable function that provides two selectable inputs, an active high (seven) or an active low (G) enable input.The BiCMOS family of circuits reduces power consumption without sacrificing speed.
